Mom Coaches Getting Clients

Dec 5, 2020

Only thing I slightly miss from working outside of the home is the excuse to get all dressed up for the work day. Mind you this was the mid-90's. The hey day of shoulder pads, mini-skirts and clunky high heels. Think Melrose Place and what Heather Locklear's bitchy character was sporting.

I was super blessed because my mom was an amazing seamstress and made me all these amazing suits to wear to the office so I got to spend much of my earnings on accessories and other items my mom couldn't push through her sewing machine.

Though back in those days I was in a completely different place in my life (no kids, only me, my cat and after work martinis), a part of me that pines for getting all dressed up for work fun. And just because we're working from home, and for the most part our clients don't get to see us from the waist up, there's no reason not to dive into the creative expression that is dressing up the part for being professional, comfortable and on brand.

I'm so excited to have Elysha Lenkin on the podcast today to share with use how we can look current, feel confident and stay true to ourselves with how we get dressed for our work from home as a coach day.
